Retro Motel
In the seaside municipality of Keminmaa, there’s an unassuming motel just off the highway called Motel Käpylä. This half-brick, half-wooden motel comes with a restaurant and a bar. Most of the decorations harken back to decades past, with retro designer furniture. The rooms are much like any motel, save that some of them still retain retro twin beds and wooden desks.
The combination of modern and vintage makes the motel perfect for flashbacks or retrospectives, while the restaurant-bar screams 70s. The restaurant features vintage furniture, including chairs designed by Eero Aarnio, and everything from the lights to the decorative cash register to Sprite glasses are pure retro.
Accommodation
Well, this one’s easy. The motel itself can be an accommodation, but there is also accommodation to be found around town, including near the Kalli ski resort. Keminmaa is also only a ten minute drive from both the cities of Kemi and Tornio, which have their own accommodation offerings.
Restaurants & catering
Again, easy. The other half of the motel is a restaurant and bar. But in the wider Keminmaa area, there are a few restaurants and take-out places. Kemi and Tornio also have plenty of food options, ranging from quick bites to catering on set.
Other services
Additional services to make your production run smoother include:
- Meeting room
- Private group sauna
